1. Extract Zip Download the DemoProject.zip-File and extract it to a directory of your choise. The .zip-file contents are splitted in the following directories:
2. Restore the Database Open the SQL Server Management Console, navigate to your SQL Server, right click on 'Databases' and choose 'All Tasks', 'Restore Database'. Then, follow the instructions on screen to restore the media 'PersonenDB' of the Database\-Directory. Note, that you only have to declare the fields of 'TPersonen'. All the rest (Triggers and Stored Procedures) are entirely generated by CodeGenerator XP. In the supplied database, everything is already done for you. 3. Change the Business Layer Component to connect to your server Open the project named 'ipsPersonen.vbp' in the Component\-Directory. Change the 'Data Source=ipsDB'-Statement in 'fnConnection.sGetConnectionString'. Insert your servername in place of 'ipsDB' and recompile 'ipsPersonen.dll'. Note, that all code in 'General.cls' is generated entirely by CodeGenerator XP based on the definitions of the Stored Procedures in the 'Personen'-Database. It is simple, to move your Business Layer Component to a COM+-Server now!
